latest gut health news & updates

The world of Gut Health and the science around it is an emerging one, with exciting discoveries and insights being uncovered across the world on a regular basis.

Some of it is really complicated stuff! Here we aim to tell you what we've picked up; explained in layman's terms that we hope makes it easy for everyone to understand. It's not all actionable, much of the science is still in it's early days so it doesn't support health claims or make health care promises. However it does give us an insight into the exciting future where we really do see food as medicine and maybe even see an end to some of the preventable illnesses or conditions that impact on so many lives.

We keep up to date by reading material from a number of sources.  Amongst our favourites are:

  • Nutraingredients - News & Analysis on Supplements, Health and Nutrition - Europe
  • Gutmicrobiotaforhealth - aims to raise awareness and interest on the gut’s bacterial community and its importance for our health and quality of life, both among the scientific and medical community and society in general
  • The Scientist - the Gut Bacteria section is particularly interesting
  • The Conversation - this is an independent source of news and views, sourced from the academic and research community and delivered direct to the public - it has features from some brilliant academics

You can keep up to date with the latest on gut health science from these sites - or you can just stay tuned here and subscribe to our newsletter where we post links to our new stories.

Of course gut health is often a topic you'll find covered in the 'usual' news channels, whilst much of this is worth reading, do keep a check on sources and ensure there is proper science behind the headlines.

If there is anything you'd like us to cover or investigate do let us know, drop an email to hello@eattroo.com and we'll see what we can do.
