HOW DOES EATING TROO HELP WITH CONSTIPATION?
Troo Granola+, Troo Porridge+ and Troo Spoonful of Fibre Pure and Chocolate all contain Chicory Fibre Syrup also known as Inulin. In scientific studies1 chicory inulin has been proven to increase stool frequency and soften stools improving the bowel function for the study participants.
The benefits have been proven in studies involving different ages groups, including the elderly and children2
It is highly recommended that anyone with constipation increases their water/ liquid consumption and also exercise levels as both help considerably with bowel movements.
Troo Thera-tea has also been developed to ease digestive issues. Our Troo Digest-ease tea contains specially selected ingredients3 that can help to ease gastric pain and flatulence as well as antioxidants and anti inflammatory plants that support gut health more generally.

Take action across the 4 PILLARS OF GUT HEALTH

DIET
Food is Medicine – what you consume will have a direct impact on your gut health. Top marks if you largely eat a Mediterranean style diet with LOTS of wholegrains, legumes, vegetables and lean meat / fish. Avoid high sugar / salty, over processed foods is key. Aim for 30g of fibre per day and 30 different plants per week. Fasting for at least 12 hours is also hugely beneficial and highly recommended.

SLEEP
Sleep is just so essential for your health and wellbeing now and in the future. Well done if you are getting the recommend 7 hours sleep consistently every night – if you are not think about the habits that you need to change to get up to that level. Troo can help both with our products and our advice – check out the Troo Gut Health Guide.
EXERCISE
Getting out and taking exercise really benefits you physically and mentally. If you are pushing yourself 3 times per week for 30mins until you are sweaty then you’re doing the right thing, but even regular gentle exercise is better than nothing. If you need inspiration check out the Exercise section in our blog.
STRESS CONTROL
Life can be tough some times and many of us have lots of balls to juggle – but it’s important to take time for yourself, getting the balance right is key. Don’t feel guilty if you are achieving this – you should be congratulated. Prioritise yourself at home and at work – everyone will benefit.
