Troo Rapid Results Gut Testing Kit
QUICK - ACCURATE - COST EFFECTIVE

UNCOVER YOUR GUT HEALTH IN 7 DAYS
Sometimes you just don’t feel great. Sometimes physically, sometimes mentally and sometimes both. This could be after a bout of illness; taking antibiotics, toothache or maybe a period of stress at home or work. You could have an imbalance in your gut (gut dysbiosis), but how do you know?
Or maybe you’ve heard about how your gut health is linked to both your physical and mental health and wellbeing and you’re keen to understand what this could mean for you?
This is when our Troo Rapid Results Gut Health Test might be relevant.
Our UK Based Laboratory
We have teamed up with Scientists at a UK-based laboratory and screening company to provide a functional gut health test which measures the actual performance of your gut in terms of the Short Chain Fatty Acids (SCFAs) produced; essentially showing just how effective your gut is working.
You simply take the sample in the privacy of your own bathroom, fill in the questionnaire and sent it off to the UK Lab. The Lab gets straight to work as soon as they get your sample; your overall gut score is calculated, based on the individual concentrations of three SCFAs (acetate, propionate and butyrate). Depending on the concentration detected, a high, borderline or low score is assigned to each of your individual SCFA levels as well.
From this and the questionnaire a personalised set of diet and lifestyle recommendations is created to help you optimise your gut function.
Best of all this happens within a week – so you could very soon be at the start of your journey to get your gut health back in balance and reaping the inevitable rewards of feeling great.

A Troo Story - from an Amazon Customer...
” I consider myself as someone who has a healthy diet & lifestyle, but have suffered IBS for many years, so was keen to get an understanding of my gut health and ordered a Troo gut test. Whilst I was a bit despondent when my first test result came back so low, I was reassured by the email I received which provided me some practical advice on what I could do differently.
In order to improve my gut health I consciously made an effort to do three things:
- Significantly increase my fibre intake – this was made easier by having Troo Spoonful of Fibre daily and adding whole grains, nuts & seeds to my meals
- Introducing 14-16 hour fasting, so I now try to eat only between 10.30am – 6.30pm
- Cutting back on sweet treats
The results of this gut health test spurred me on to make some changes to my diet that have really helped alleviate my IBS symptoms and boosted my energy levels – after 8 weeks of my new dietary regime I retested and my gut health score had increased significantly.
I’d certainly recommend doing this test and if like me the results aren’t what you were hoping for then use the results for self-improvement – I feel so much better for making these changes to my diet”

frequently asked questions
When it comes to your body, your gut is at the epicentre of the action. So, it’s no surprise really, when something isn’t quite right in your gut, it can affect many aspects of your physical and mental health.
Most other gut tests currently available look at the composition of the bacteria in your gut i.e. how many butyrate producing bacteria do you have compared to other bacteria. Composition gut testing is usually carried out by Next Generation Sequencing, which is time consuming and costly for the equipment and consumables.
Over the past 10 years gut health and the microbiome has been rigorously studied at Universities across the globe, In fact over 20,000 scientific articles have been published covering the gut microbiome and how it impacts both of physical and mental health and well being. It’s also not stopping, new discoveries are being made every day. Our UK based scientists keep on top of this research to ensure we know what is going on and how we can learn from it.
Remember, any gut test is a snapshot in time. Your gut health can be very quickly effected by a big night out; a bout of illness of even over exertion at the gym.
Don’t worry about any of this – your sample is in a special liquid that keeps it safe and stable for quite a while.
Kits have a 6 month expiry date. Please ensure you use the test kit within a few weeks of receiving it.
We’ve looked around the world to provide our customers with a test that is:
- Quick – who wants to wait weeks and weeks to know if your gut is working well? You also want to see the results of any diet and lifestyle changes you make, so speed is important. We’re really pleased to have the quickest test results available, up to 7 weeks quicker than the market leader.
- Cost Effective – At £80 per test (including all P&P) or an annual testing programme (4 tests per year) for £240 – this is more than half the price of the market leader.
- Accurate – the process used for analysis is Gas Chromatography – the gold standard in analytical chemistry. Actionable – we don’t want you to have to trawl through a technical 93 page report to try to understand your issues. We like to keep it simple and actionable, so you know what you need to do to improve and reap the benefits of good gut health. You can see a sample of our report in the product page.

The suggested 2 portions of Troo per day is a delicious, quick and easy way to get you 50% of the way there. Over 90% of people in the UK consume just 18g of fibre per day on average.
Eating fibre is essential for your gut health. Fibre (especially prebiotic fibre that you find in Troo) has been scientifically proven to feed and nourish your good gut bacteria. This results in the production of short chain fatty acids which help reduce inflammation and can reduce the likelihood of lots of killer diseases like cancer, strokes and mental illness.
Inulin syrup also contributes to normal bowel function by increasing stool frequency (12g inulin per day); a natural solution to keep you going!
